Math Online is a service of Hotline for Homework, a nonprofit Minneapolis based organization dedicated to helping K-12 students succeed in school. Primary sponsers include the Minneapolis and Bloomington Federation of Teachers, Public Broadcasting Service, Dakota County United Teachers, Robbinsdale Federation of Teachers, the Osseo Federation of Teachers and Metro Teachers Federation.

Funding for Homework Online has also come from the Minnesota Department of Families and Children. Additional support has been provided by the Minneapolis Telecommunications Network, and by The Bloomington Educational Center.
